The Jabra Evolve 40 UC Stereo USB-C Corded Headset is a clever little headset. It comes with both a USB-C AND a 3.5mm connection to plug into your smartphone, PC or tablet. So you have just one headset to use at work with your softphone and on your way home to listen to music from your mobile phone.

This Evolve comes with 3.5mm jack to connect to smartphones, tablets and some computers as well as USB connection. The controls also allow you to answer and release calls (when connected via USB) as well as mute & adjust the volume.

With a comfort headband, microphone boom that integrates into the headband (so you don’t look like a ninny when wearing them on the way to work) and a soft pouch to protect your new favourite accessory, you’ll want to take these everywhere with you. If you travel for work, spend time on planes and also make calls and video conference while you’re away, the Evolves will take care you in every scenario.

Specially designed for today’s softphones it is certified for use with Yealink and PC Suite (Jabra software) allows it to be used with most modern softphones. It has DSP to optimise music and suppress echoes and has wideband Hi-Fi sound.

Things to consider

As with any corded headset, with the Evolve 40, you are tied to your phone via a cable, this can be frustrating when wires lie across your desk and get in the way of papers or drop down and get crushed and tangled under chair wheels. If your work requires that you get up from your desk (whether on a call or not) you’ll need to unclip the headset or take it off each time & reclip/put it back on when you return. If you do this often, a wireless headset could save you time, hassle (and hair!).
